This Privacy Policy describes how Alchemist Supply Company LLC, doing business as “Alchemist Supply Co.” (“ASC,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with this site. By using this site, you consent to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Contact and account information you provide (name, email, shipping address, sign-in via Google OAuth).
  • Order, subscription, and kit-request details, including items, quantities, and pricing.
  • Your research-use acknowledgment and age certification, plus a one-way hash of your IP address and browser user agent (never the raw IP) for fraud-prevention and compliance record-keeping.
  • Correspondence you send us (contact form, email, restock requests).
  • Standard technical and analytics data (pages viewed, referrer, device/browser type, aggregated where possible).
  • Cookies and similar technologies necessary for the site to function (session, cart, theme preference, age-gate acknowledgment).

How we use it

  • To process, fulfill, ship, and provide support for your orders and subscriptions.
  • To operate account sign-in, restock notifications, and other features you opt into.
  • To verify age and research-use eligibility and maintain records demonstrating that verification.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service or Research Use Policy.
  • To maintain security, debug, and operate the site reliably.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory record-keeping obligations, and to respond to lawful requests from courts, regulators, or law enforcement.
  • To communicate with you about your orders, account, or, only with your consent where required, marketing.

Sharing

We share personal information only with: (a) service providers who need it to operate the site and fulfill orders (Stripe for payment processing, shipping carriers, email delivery, cloud hosting, analytics), each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations; (b) professional advisors (legal, accounting) as needed; (c) a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; and (d) any party where required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ASC, our customers, or the public, including to investigate suspected misuse of a product in violation of our Research Use Policy. We do not sell your personal information. Card payment details entered at checkout go directly to Stripe and are never received or stored by ASC — see Stripe's Privacy Policy for how they handle it.

Data retention

We retain order, age-verification, and research-use acknowledgment records for as long as necessary to comply with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements and to defend against potential claims, even after you close your account. Other personal information is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., California, EU/UK, and other jurisdictions with data protection laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Some records (e.g., age/research-use acknowledgments, order history) may be retained notwithstanding a deletion request where necessary for legal compliance or to defend legal claims. Email us to make a request; we may need to verify your identity first.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 21. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 21, we will delete it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and process information there. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
