Refund Policy

All sales final — with three exceptions

Because Alchemist Supply Company LLC, doing business as “Alchemist Supply Co.” (“ASC”), sells sealed chemical reference materials that cannot be safely resold once opened or shipped, all sales are final once an order has shipped, with the following exceptions:

  1. Shipping damage. If your package arrives visibly damaged or a vial is broken, photograph everything within 48 hours of delivery and email us. At our option, we will replace the affected items or refund the affected portion of the order.
  2. Wrong item shipped. If you receive a SKU different from what you ordered, we will ship the correct item at no cost once the wrong item is returned unopened and unused.
  3. Order cancellation before shipping. Orders may be cancelled for a full refund of amounts paid any time before they enter fulfillment. Once a tracking number is issued, the order is committed and this exception no longer applies.

No refund, replacement, or credit will be issued for any reason related to how a product was used, including any human or animal administration, regardless of outcome — see our Research Use Policy and Terms of Service.

Subscriptions

Cancel any time before your next billing/production date to skip the upcoming shipment. Once a subscription renewal is charged and enters fulfillment, that shipment follows the rules above. Prepaid cycles are non-refundable once the corresponding production run has entered fulfillment.

How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe, our third-party payment processor, within a commercially reasonable time. ASC is not responsible for delays caused by your bank, card issuer, or Stripe.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before filing a chargeback — we can usually resolve issues faster than your bank can. A chargeback filed in bad faith, or after ASC has already provided the remedy set out in this policy, is a material breach of our Terms of Service and may result in permanent account closure, referral to collections, and pursuit of the disputed amount plus associated fees and costs.
